Key National Changes

  • Retail Ban: Powerful SGARs have been heavily restricted from public retail. Popular hardware stores and supermarkets (such as Bunnings and Woolworths) have removed these products from their shelves.

  • Professional Use Only: SGAR products are now classed as “restricted chemical products” and can generally only be purchased and applied by licensed pest control professionals.

  • Tamper-Resistant Stations: Legally, all rodenticides must now be placed inside lockable, tamper-resistant bait stations.

European Wasp

Whilst doing a routine General Pest Service on a home in Bowen Mountain on Monday, I discovered a European Wasp nest forming inside a cavity of the home.

Luckily for the home owner, I had arrived on the day, as this could have escalated to something much worse over the coming weeks.

This wasp species is dangerous and should be approached with care. Professional pest services should be called.
